Youth Ministry

MISSION STATEMENT

St. Raphael’s Youth Ministry is a multi-faceted program which brings the teenagers of our parish together with each other and the church community.  Its many different programs give our teenagers an opportunity to understand our faith as young catholic adults.  Through peer ministry they lead small groups of eighth and ninth grade students in support of lessons which enrich the understanding of keeping a faith alive in an ever-challenging world.  As peer ministers they walk hand in hand with our Candidates on their journey to Confirmation.  In our youth group meetings teenagers from 14-18 years of age come together to share laughs, fears, thoughts, and prayers about today’s issues that they face on a daily basis.  Proudly and with much enthusiasm they prepare and present a “Living Stations of the Cross” to bring our church family a reflective walk through our Lord’s final hours. Lastly but certainly not of less importance our teens plan, prepare and attend an Antioch retreat in an effort to deepen their connection to God and enhance family bonds.

It is the mission of this Youth Ministry to bring our youth to maturity in adulthood as active and faithful members of the Catholic Church.
