Youth Ministry

youth ministry

Head / Point of Contact: TBD

Charter/Mission: Our mission is to provide a safe, confidential environment for all high school youth (grades 9-12) to meet in a social setting and discuss current events, using our Faith as the basis for our discussions.  We look to see everything through the eyes of Jesus, asking “How would Jesus address this or act in this situation?”

We enjoy taking part in social service events inside the parish and out.  For example, we support the St. John’s Soup Kitchen the 4th Saturday of each month.

We mentor the younger students (grade 8) to provide a first look at faith formation on a more personal, adult level.

We mentor the Confirmation class (grade 9) for their entire year of preparation for the sacrament.

We sponsor the Antioch Retreat annually.

We show a Lenten commitment to the parish by presenting the Living Stations of the Cross on Good Friday.
