  • The Archbishop of Newark, announced today that he has dispensed the faithful of the Archdiocese from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass until further notice, after evaluating recommendations of state and health officials.
  • The Archdiocese of Newark will LiveStream Mass Sundays at Noon (EST). All faithful are invited to join virtually. The bilingual (English and Spanish) Mass will be celebrated by Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., Archbishop of Newark, to provide the faithful with spiritual nourishment during this time of need.  To watch the livestream, visit the Archdiocese of Newark’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/nwkarchdiocese.     • Weekday Masses:  Attendance at the 8AM Masses, Monday through Friday, is limited to 24 families (people living under one roof for the duration of the quarantine), by reservation only through the Parish Office.
    • Weekend Masses:  Physical attendance at Mass is restricted to 24 families (people living under one roof for the duration of the quarantine), by reservation only through the Parish Office.  There are six Masses:  Saturday at 4PM and 6 PM; Sunday at 8AM, 10AM, 12PM (Noon), and 6PM.  Note that Saturday at 6PM and Sunday at 8AM are “in church only.”  In order to accommodate more people and those with underlying health risks,  Mass will also be LiveStreamed on Saturday at 4PM and Sunday at 10AM, 12PM, and 6PM, while also allowing for attendance in church.
    • Eucharistic Adoration on Thursdays!  We have moved the time to 6PM-8PM and meet in the church.  Reservations are required.

Current Events

  • The Religious Education offerings:
    • Rock Rosary on Fridays at 7PM.  The children are creating a rosary around Our Lady of Fatima with rocks that they have decorated with things for which they are thankful – they are on their second one!  The activity will continue until the distance around the statue of Our Lady is completed!     • Fall Religious Education will continue online, beginning on Sunday, September 20.  Classes will livestream from 11:15 – 12 Noon.  Please register at the Parish Office or at https://www.osvhub.com/straphaelnj/forms/2020-religious-education-program
  • Lectors and EMHCs! 
    • The Schedule for the fall :   Lectors will support Masses both via LiveStream and in-church.  EMHC’s are not currently needed, due to restrictions in place.  The schedule is being be done manually.  The new schedule for September 5 – November 29 is now in effect.  Look in your email for your copy.
    •  We are looking for additional Lectors and EMHCs!  Please consider joining these Ministries whose role is to support the Celebrant during the Mass by reading God’s words and distributing the Eucharist!   Call the Parish Office if you are interested.
    • AC PACK Project!  Even with schools experiencing a variety of learning options, the children we help are still in need of basic supplies.  Beginning August 29, we collected material for 50 backpacks plus some to spare for next year!!   The SAC Paks were distributed to St. Margaret’s in Morristown, and community centers in Newark and Dover.  Thank you for making this project a great success!
    • We have temporarily suspended the Sandwich Project.  The last collection was September 19.  We will let you know when we restart.
    • Diapers in sizes 4, 5, or 6 are needed for St. Margaret’s in Morristown.  Leave donations by the Parish Office.
  • Thank you to all who joined the team watering our flowers!  The gardens look lovely!  As the fall approaches, we will update you on changing/replanting the beds with chrysanthemums.  Look for our notice!

We Are Living Stones Capital Campaign

  • We are still working on our 4-year campaign to support the efforts of the Archdiocese support of our priests, our seminarians, our Catholic schools!!  The  final year of  the campaign, which was scheduled to wrap up by the end of June, is still accepting last minute gifts. We have already received funds for our parish amounting to $39,701.03.  We can receive almost $50,000 if all pledges are met. Campaign Details
