  • VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  If you have a background in English – writing, editing, or oral presentation – you can help our local seminarians.  Check out the details here!
  • Help Collect Box Tops for Education for Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese!    Click here for a list of products that carry the coupons, or pick up a list next to the donation box.
  • Lectors and EMHCs! 
    • The Schedule for the period November 30 – March 23 was sent out.  It includes the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Christmas, and the Solemnity of Mary, all of which have extended assignment lists.  See your email for more details on dates and times.
  • Our social outreach ministry, SAMARITANS ALWAYS CARE (SAC)is collecting:
    • Food for the Soup Kitchen at Our Lady of the Valley:  Please place your items for those in need in the labeled boxes in the vestibule..
    • Christmas Giving Tree!  Look for our giving tree in the vestibule. beginning November 16. All unwrapped gifts are due in the vestibule December 9th.  These gifts will go to needy children in Essex County.
    • If you would like to take a more active part in helping with the SAC projects, please contact the parish office and you will be put in contact with a committee member.
  • BREAKFAST WITH SANTA!  December 8,  9 AM- Noon. Enjoy Breakfast, the Nativity Play, Christmas Carols and visit Santa and Mrs. Claus!  Breakfast is free but donations will be gratefully accepted.
  •  CHRISTMAS CONCERT – The Orchestra of St. Peter’s by the Sea returns on Saturday, December 14 at 7:00 PM.   Tickets are $30.  Call the Parish Office to reserve yours!  Tickets will be available in the vestibule the weekend of December 7-8.
  • LESSONS And CAROLS 2019Saturday, December 21 at 7:30pm in the church.  Enjoy and evening of Christmas Carols, music, and readings celebrating the joy of the season!
  • 13th ANNUAL SIMBANG GABI – Filipino Advent Mass –  Sunday, December 15 at 6:00pm (Night) and Saturday, December 21 at 5:30am (Dawn).  The Mass will be in English.   The celebration will continue after the Mass in Tobias Hall.
  • PIZZA with a PURPOSE – The California Pizza Kitchen a the Mall at Short Hills will donate 20% of your check to St. Raphael’s when you eat in, take out, or cater on Mondays in December, between 11:00am and 10:00pm.  Show them a copy of the attached flyer when you order!

We Are Living Stones Capital Campaign

  • We are still working on our 4-year campaign to support the efforts of the Archdiocese support of our priests, our seminarians, our Catholic schools!!  This is the final year of  the campaign.  We have already received funds for our parish amounting to $37,464.03.  We can receive almost $50,000 if all pledges are met.
